David McMichael has more than 20 years managing regional security and security systems design. Mr. McMichael began his career in electronic security systems as the Asia Regional Security Program Manager with Intel Corporation and was responsible for all security systems implemented within their APAC market, internal and sub-con risk assessments, executive protection, security design, program management and compliance. This included 6 new campuses as well as additions to existing manufacturing facilities and offices. He also led the EMEA technical team with security project designs. Mr. McMichael’s experience included documentation of processes and extensive process management with control boards both as a submitter and board member evaluating proposed changes. He helped secure the supply chain by auditing sub-cons and extensive involvement auditing transport facilities including 3PL’s and government Customs facilities.
Before joining Guidepost, Mr. McMichael spent 6 years at an Asia regional security installer where he was responsible for designing and implementing customized security solutions for a variety of customers to include enterprise access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection. His customers included data center providers, high tech, oil and gas, finance, and banking (to include credit card manufacturers), global consumer goods manufacturers, global food product providers and global security providers among others.
Mr. McMichael is originally from the Metroplex and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also served as an Associate Professor at Singapore’s SMF Institute of Higher Learning with coursework in security management.
