Gentilcore has over two decades of expertise with insider threats, security, intelligence, and compliance
Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in domestic and international investigations, compliance solutions, monitoring, security and technology consulting, today announced that Lisa Gentilcore has joined the firm as a senior managing director in its San Francisco office. Formerly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and with over 25 years of experience, Gentilcore will oversee a wide range of compliance and investigative matters for the firm’s growing client base in San Francisco and across the broader Silicon Valley region.

Gentilcore previously spent over 20 years in various executive roles with the FBI, including as assistant special agent in charge in San Francisco and deputy director of the FBI’s Presidential Transition Team during the 2020 election. She was also the senior executive responsible for global espionage, insider threats, media leaks, and other sensitive national security investigations. In her time with the FBI, she collaborated with the U.S. Intelligence Community, the Department of Justice, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Department of Defense, and other key agencies. She also served in the U.S. Embassy in Prague, Czechia, working with European Union law enforcement; the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe; Europol; and Interpol on money laundering matters; violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; organized crime; and complex financial and cyber investigations.
Most recently, Gentilcore served as a lead compliance inspector for the Department of Energy’s counterintelligence program, providing strategic reviews, program assessments, and policy guidance for field offices located at the national laboratories and nuclear facilities across the country.
Gentilcore was honored with numerous awards for her excellence in investigations throughout her FBI career, including recognition from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. In 2010 she received the FBI Director’s Award for her leadership in ethics and compliance, further showing her commitment to investigative intelligence.
