Walsh earns recognition for advancing security at some of New York’s major construction projects
Guidepost Solutions, a global provider of domestic and international investigations, compliance solutions, monitoring, and security and technology consulting, today announced that Cathal J. Walsh, Vice President, Physical Security and Chief Security Officer at Guidepost Solutions, has been selected for inclusion in Crain’s New York Business 2026 Notable Leaders in Architecture, Engineering & Construction. Walsh was recognized for driving meaningful change within organizations and industries.

Walsh was recognized for more than 20 years of experience addressing security matters, with specific expertise in security design and consulting for high-profile construction projects. His work focuses on integrating physical security, advanced technologies, and operational planning across large-scale developments, and translating security strategy into practical, site-specific execution across some of New York’s most consequential builds.
Among Walsh’s most recent notable projects, he oversaw Guidepost Solutions’ engagement as the New York City Football Club’s Security Representative for the construction of Etihad Park, the club’s new $780 million, 25,000-seat stadium in Willets Point, Queens. In that capacity, Walsh ensured the facility incorporates a comprehensive security program spanning physical security, advanced technology solutions, and operational readiness, while he coordinated directly with construction teams on site layout, security management, and crowd safety. He was also part of the security design and consulting team during the construction of Hudson Yards, one of the largest private real estate developments in U.S. history, which transformed 28 acres of Manhattan’s West Side into a $25 billion mixed-use neighborhood.
