Beginning in 2023, Guidepost Solutions began providing embedded Technical Security Project Managers for a Global Hyper Scale Organization to oversee the delivery of data center projects throughout Europe. In this role, the embedded resources manage security projects through all phases of design review, construction administration, and commissioning, including new construction, renovations, and system replacements or additions. They participate in project progress meetings focused on planning, coordination, and the provision of status updates for ongoing security design and construction activities, while also compiling project data from multiple systems to support coordination, invoicing, payments, and project closeout. Their responsibilities include maintaining oversight of project schedules, actual spend versus budget, contract compliance, and other key performance indicators, as well as performing project management functions related specifically to security electronics in collaboration with other disciplines and partners. They also provide design review, implementation verification, and quality control oversight, while ensuring assigned projects meet budget, scheduling, and quality requirements. In addition, they track project-related issues, work with team members to develop strategic resolutions, document follow-up actions, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using the Client’s project documentation processes, implement best practices aligned with Project Management Institute standards as outlined in the organization’s standards, and escalate issues requiring immediate response to the appropriate client authority.
