Aidan Kirk is a forensic accountant in the New York office at Guidepost Solutions. He works closely with the senior forensic accountants, investigators, and research analysts in providing support for large compliance and monitoring engagements. His work includes analyzing financial and operational records and drafting detailed reports of audit findings.

Mr. Kirk has been engaged on several high-profile construction projects for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and provided audit assistance to the Federal Monitor for New York City Housing Authority. His work in the private sector includes subcontractor labor rate reviews for a large construction project which requires a deep understanding of union Collective Bargaining Agreements and Project Labor Agreements.

Previously, Mr. Kirk was a staff accountant at Slater, Kavitt & Schultz, a full-service accounting firm. He was responsible for creating and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports. Mr. Kirk also assisted with audits of governmental and banking entities and prepared and filed partnership and corporate tax returns.

Mr. Kirk began his accounting career as an intern with Arbor Commercial Mortgage, a national loan origination company for funding multifamily and commercial real estate loans. During his tenure, he analyzed data for federal and state reporting requirements for REITs and LLCs; prepared depreciation schedules; and assisted with the preparation and filing of federal and state forms.
