Port of Oakland California
Guidepost Solutions was selected by the Port of Oakland, California for the conceptual design of its Domain Awareness Center (DAC). We were able to complete this project through the successful management of our multidisciplinary team of architects, mechanics, engineers, plumbers, emergency operations staff, public safety planning personnel and cost estimators.
Our team worked closely with project stakeholders and staff to manage site surveys of the existing security systems, the systems’ infrastructure, and response and service agency protocols and procedures. We developed the facility’s operational guidelines with the creation of performance specifications and operating parameters for linking the DAC’s security surveillance, telecommunications and audiovisual systems to the existing emergency operations systems. Additionally, our team produced schematic drawings, performance specifications and cost estimates for the physical layout of the facility.
