Merck Sharp & Dohme
Since 2013, Merck Sharp & Dohme has retained Guidepost Solutions under a Master Services Agreement to provide security consulting services across its global portfolio of more than 600 sites. Under this agreement, we have served as a strategic partner in support of the Merck global security program for facilities outside of North America.
Our team has been involved with, or is currently supporting, over 250 security related engagements, beginning with the development of a Security Systems Master Plan (SSMP) for an enterprise Physical Access Control System (PACS). We have assisted with the roll-out of the SSMP through the provision of design, bid, implementation oversight, and commissioning services for the conversion / upgrade of dozens of legacy systems, deployments at new facilities, and the selection and roll-out of other integrated systems, including credentialing standards, visitor management, video surveillance platforms, intrusion alarms systems, and others.
In conjunction with this work, we were engaged in the advancement and maintenance of Merck’s physical security deployment and technology standards; threat / risk and vulnerability assessments; and program audits against standards.
In addition, our team developed complete facility or operationally-specific security program tools including a warehousing security standard and audit tool; SOP(s) and standards for the security of controlled substances and radiological assets, and a bio-security program that includes a comprehensive assessment tool, a security standard, and SOP(s) developed in coordination with the Global Safety and Environment division.
Our team continues to support the company’s engagements across the globe with assessment, design and implementation oversight for deploying its standardized systems.
