Christopher Birdsong’s 29 years of security industry experience includes 10 years of systems service and installation experience, six years of operations management and 13 years of project management and system designs and execution. His experience includes the design, procurement, and project management of card access control systems, closed circuit television systems, and digital video archival systems. He performs key roles in ongoing project supervision, coordination, specification clarifications, and regularly serves as the security interface with the project architect, general contractor, and owner.
Mr. Birdsong has worked closely with multiple clients in the financial services industry as well as hospitals, school districts and the corporate headquarters for several consumer product companies. Most notably, he was instrumental in security upgrades for the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas from analog solution to digital. Mr. Birdsong was also involved in the design and execution of the hospital’s access integration upgrade. He handled the project management and security design for the two new towers of the hospital. He also provided consulting assistance for Digital Realty Trust (NYSE: DLR) to develop an integrated access control, alarm monitoring, digital CCTV, building management system, computerized maintenance management system and critical point monitoring system all seamlessly interfaced to DLR’s IT infrastructure. Guidepost Solutions is currently managing the implementation of this platform at dozens of DLR facilities domestically and in Europe.
