Philip Vardey

Project Manager

Philip Vardey brings over 15 years of security industry experience from on-site man-guarding, systems management, and design-engineering to his current role as Project Manager. Over his career, he has been involved in site security supervision, facilities management, physical security systems administration, and technical program management.

Mr. Vardey began his career in the guarding sector whilst quickly progressing to a senior supervision role within a high-profile UK Data Centre service provider. During his time in this capacity, he was instrumental in the day-to-day management of site security operations, enforcing technology usage standards and assisting Data Centre staff and clients with their day-to-day security operational needs. Afterwards, he progressed to a joint security and facilities management position at a prestigious London University focusing on security technology management whilst assisting the facilities department with site operations.

Joining the Guidepost Solutions team in EMEA, Mr. Vardey was initially a part of the Managed Services division providing remote security systems administration, technical support and platform optimization to leading corporate clients. Additionally, Phil assisted in the design group to deploy new sites and system upgrades before progressing to the Project Management team several years ago.

In his current capacity, Mr. Vardey has provided support to key clients within the data centre, pharmaceutical, medical / healthcare manufacturing, technology and software markets, supporting a variety of projects across four continents, 10+ countries, 140+ locations in over 30 global markets. Phil brings a unique blend of technical ability; project management and operations experience in the global systems space with strong experience managing cross-border projects for multinational clients. Recent project support locations have been in a variety of sites across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, North Africa, Russia, Singapore, and Australia.

Did you know?

Philip has completed several fundraisers for St. Catherine’s Hospice, which has supported his family. One was a 280 mile tandem cycle ride over two and a half days from his home in southern England to the hospice on the north east coast, all whilst dressed like a Viking.
