Guidepost was engaged by outside counsel to conduct an employee misconduct and business integrity investigation for a manufacturing company involving former employees suspected of disrupting operations and potentially benefiting competitors. Guidepost led a comprehensive internal investigation, interviewing current employees to assess operational impact, evaluate customer relationships, and identify any additional misconduct. In parallel, Guidepost conducted a large-scale digital forensics investigation and forensic accounting analysis of more than two terabytes of data extracted from the former employees’ devices. This e-discovery effort included electronic evidence review and document review of more than 100,000 records, as well as phone linkage analysis to identify patterns of communication and potential collusion. Based on its findings, Guidepost provided outside counsel with clear, defensible reporting and actionable recommendations, including multiple paths to remediate operational disruption and mitigate risk. The team also delivered litigation support documentation to pursue potential legal action against the former employees.
