Challenges to Modern Investigations
John Curry will lead the session, “Navigating the Complexities of Contemporary Crime Solving,” to explore how advances in technology are reshaping criminal investigations. As criminal tactics evolve, so too must the methods used to detect, analyze, and prosecute crime. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of modern investigative techniques, including the use of digital forensics, AI and machine learning, open-source intelligence (OSINT), surveillance technology, and biometrics, highlighting both their capabilities and inherent limitations.
