Thomas Courtice brings over a decade of global experience in physical security, technical security design, security audits, site assessments, and risk management to his role as regional director for the Guidepost Solutions Security and Technology Consulting practice. He will oversee international client projects, lead the international security and technology team, and spearhead efforts to expand the firm’s presence in global markets.
Mr. Courtice has built a distinguished career delivering complex, large-scale security programs for multinational corporations, government entities, and high-risk environments, including international data centers. Most recently, he served as director and regional physical security specialist at UBS Business Solutions, where he managed security operations across the UK, Ireland, The Channel Islands, The Netherlands, and South Africa. His work included the design and implementation of innovative security solutions for corporate offices and data centers, management of third-party vendors, and development of regional security standards, policies and incident response protocols.
Prior to UBS, Mr. Courtice held consulting roles at Cornerstone GRG Ltd and Mitie Group Ltd, where he led end-to-end delivery of physical and technical security installations, conducted threat and vulnerability assessments, and advised executive stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies. His expertise spans automated access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and enterprise-wide security governance. He has also supported counterterrorism and intelligence-gathering initiatives in Afghanistan, Africa, and the Middle East, supporting national-scale security capability-building efforts for government clients.
Mr. Courtice’s in-depth background includes designing and implementing innovative security solutions for office and data center new builds, renovations, and fit outs; responsibility for a travel safety and security program for employees traveling to, within and from high-risk areas; and serving as the point-of-contact in all matters relating to physical security policy compliance and application, as well as security incidents and investigations.
