Managing Director

Megan B. Kilzy brings extensive expertise in white-collar criminal defense and prosecution, government investigations, and complex litigation to her role as a managing director at Guidepost Solutions in its Emerging Issues and Technology Practice. Her practice focuses on complex and cross-border investigations, crisis intervention, compliance, monitorships and physical/cyber security. With a proven track record in managing high-stakes investigations and litigation, Ms. Kilzy excels in addressing issues involving corporate fraud, regulatory compliance, and financial crimes.

In her career, Ms. Kilzy has led teams investigating and prosecuting complex crimes ranging from homicides, crimes against children, cyber investigations, and financial crimes, including corporate fraud, bank fraud, Ponzi schemes, and cryptocurrency-related offenses. She has collaborated with federal agencies, financial institutions, and corporate clients to conduct thorough analyses of contracts, financial statements, and other documentation critical to uncovering fraudulent activities. She has also served as defense counsel in high profile financial crimes prosecution. Her varied expertise extends to navigating AML/BSA compliance, and regulatory enforcement, ensuring robust and compliant solutions for clients facing multifaceted challenges.  She holds a license as a Certified Fraud Examiner, which also provides invaluable insight into identifying and preventing fraudulent activities, enhancing client confidence in her opinions.

Megan leverages her extensive experience gained from over a decade of legal practice, which seamlessly transitions from the courtroom to the boardroom. She excels in drafting comprehensive reports, efficiently gathering and analyzing facts, and managing high-profile, complex investigations across various sectors. This unique blend of skills positions her perfectly to provide in-depth analysis and strategic insights to clients.

She holds a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she earned recognitions for academic excellence. She is an active participant in professional organizations, serving on committees that shape the future of business litigation and e-discovery, in addition to serving as Vice President of Membership for the Bergen County Junior League – a women’s organization committed to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Meg is an avid foodie and workout enthusiast. Every holiday season, she prepares different themed dinners drawing on the beauty of varied cultures’ culinary inspirations.  In 2016, she ran the NYC Marathon, and in 2023 was involved in her former office’s initiative to spread wellness by teaching a virtual workout class and obtaining a certification as a resiliency officer.
