Jesse Alvarado

Forensic Accountant

Jesse Alvarado joined the New York office of Guidepost Solutions as a forensic accountant with a strong background in the audit and review of financial statements for private and not-for-profit organizations. His competencies also include data visualization using data tools such as Tableau to give large data sets life and improved utilization.

At Guidepost, Mr. Alvarado has been involved in the construction monitorship of a multinational bank, specifically monitoring multiple phases of the bank’s construction project.

Most recently, Mr. Alvarado was an assurance senior at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, a tax and accounting services firm. He conducted assurance services for private enterprises in the manufacturing and distribution industry and supported with the preparation of financial statements.

Prior to joining CliftonLarsonAllen, Mr. Alvarado was an audit associate at CBIZ MHM, a leading business advisory and CPA firm. He provided comprehensive audit services to a diverse group of private and not-for-profit companies; collaborated with managers throughout all stages of the audit, including planning and fieldwork; and executed substantial procedures such as price test, journal entry test, and analysis over financial statements.

Mr. Alvarado began his career as a tax intern with Goldman Sachs Ayco and BST & Co., CPAs, where he gained experience tracking and calculating tax basis for client investments and preparing tax returns.
