Andrés Otero has extensive investigative experience throughout Central and Latin America. He is also recognized as an expert in dispute advisory and anti-corruption matters. He is an expert in various investigation and intelligence areas and is involved in issues such as the fight against corruption and maintaining institutional integrity.
Previously, Mr. Otero was a partner at Custom Information Services, Inc., a specialized investigations firm focused on the Americas. He was also president and co-founder of ON Partners, a consulting firm started by Colombian General Oscar Naranjo to advise the Mexican government and private sector clients on complex security, integrity and compliance issue
Throughout his career, Mr. Otero has held senior positions with several investigative and risk consultancy firms. This includes launching the Bogota, Colombia office for a global risk advisory and intelligence firm and leading its region-wide operations from Miami.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Otero held a number of positions with the Colombian government, the European Union and the Inter-American Development Bank, where he focused on anti-corruption policy initiatives. Notably, he served as the technical secretary for the so-called “Proceso 8,000”, an independent commission established to investigate the infiltration of drug money in political campaigns in Colombia.
Mr. Otero frequently lectures on topics related to FCPA, litigation support and risk management in the Americas. He is the co-author of Poder, Justicia e Indignidad, published by Fundacion Social.
