Tania Benedit is an experienced professional with particular expertise in Latin-American judiciary matters. Her investigative work as analyst involves international on-the-ground intelligence collection, witness interviewing, domestic and international asset tracing, and due diligence investigations.

Since joining Guidepost in 2021, Ms. Benedit has been involved in complex investigations for litigation support in the United States and Colombia. She is currently working in an ongoing investigation in Peru conducting comprehensive intelligence gathering through witness interviews and document procurement; preparing sworn affidavits and witnesses to depose to legal authorities; designing databases for analytics; and monitoring news and media sources.

Ms. Benedit also conducts due diligence investigations for corporate or migratory matters involving open-source intelligence collection from worldwide jurisdictions. She has successfully participated in several asset tracing investigations with analytical support for clients with interests in the United States, Cuba, England, Ecuador, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Prior to joining Guidepost, Ms. Benedit was a community coordinator at The Rock Family Community Center where she was responsible for the legal review of documents working alongside the School Board of Miami-Dade County to procure ESOL and citizenship instruction to immigrants.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Benedit was a justice assistant attorney for the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela. She led research projects in support of law interpreting and rulings related to political and administrative matters involving the Venezuelan government. She also led numerous sensitive cases in support of the rulings of a panel of justices.

Ms. Benedit first worked with Guidepost on a capstone project during her graduate studies at the Florida International University. She was mentored by senior Guidepost professionals during her research and analysis of risks and scenarios of foreign investment in Venezuela’s oil industry.
