Michael Beairsto joins Guidepost as a senior consultant, bringing a broad background in global security and resilience, policy, management, regulatory compliance, and operations. His career has included senior roles in which he has led and coordinated safety, security, threat, and resilience administration. Mr. Beairsto’s work has included facility resilience design programs, risk assessments, crisis management and planning, and training. He has provided this work for corporate organizations, high net worth individuals, and all levels of government agencies (foreign as well as domestic).
Prior to joining Guidepost, Mr. Beairsto served with Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. as a senior vice president managing high-profile and large-scale physical security projects. Before that, Mr. Beairsto served as the Americas Region Security and Terrorism Risk Management leader for Ove Arup and Partners, where he led and provided advisory and consulting services around the globe. Mr. Beairsto arrived at Arup from Counter Technology, Inc. (CTI), where he served as director of safety and security consulting.
Mr. Beairsto, raised on the West Coast, served in the U.S. Marine Corps as inspector and instructor and was selected as a member of a Marine Corps React Team.
