Maria Dewing is an accomplished security professional with many years of assessment, systems design, and project management experience. She works with a wide range of clients across diverse markets including commercial, corporate, financial, retail, education, and healthcare.
Ms. Dewing has focused her career on corporate security and threat and risk assessment. She collaborates with clients to ensure security deficiencies are identified and alleviated by coordinating with architects and all other trades to deliver well-designed and streamlined security systems. She has completed professional training in Investigative Interviewing Methods, Nuclear Safeguards Policy and Information Analysis, and Disarmament and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Ms. Dewing has managed multi-disciplinary projects while coordinating between owner representatives, architects, disciplines, and trades throughout the project lifecycle. Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Ms. Dewing was an associate-integrated communications technology at the firm of Shen Milsom & Wilke in New York City. She led consulting services and led security and threat assessments that included client-specific threat and risk profiles and recommendations consistent with best industry practices and client needs.
In her career she has also served as a security systems design consultant at T&M USA, LLC, where she provided security consulting and subject matter expertise for a broad range of business verticals. As a security engineer at Robert Derector Telecommunications, she was responsible for designing security systems and writing specifications for access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. Ms. Dewing managed all aspects of electronic and physical security projects from design stage through construction administration and closeout.
