Kevin Kent’s professional background includes more than 10 years of experience within the investigations and security sector with extensive focus surrounding physical security, loss prevention, investigations, and workplace violence. As a project manager for Guidepost, Mr. Kent supports several clients and engagements by performing physical and technical security assessments, reviewing, and developing security policies and procedures, evaluating security program operations, providing security and safety training, and supporting the implementation of new security technology programs from design through installation oversight and commissioning.

During his tenure with the quick-service industry, big-box and off-priced retailers, Mr. Kent developed and executed upon strategic loss prevention and asset protection measures consisting of hyper-focused shrink mitigation strategies, data-driven internal theft reduction programs and tactical initiatives for single-unit facilities.

While Mr. Kent started his security career in the retail loss prevention and investigations sector, over time he grew his experience to include the knowledge of physical security and workplace violence programs. While with his former employer, Mr. Kent developed and deployed a highly regarded active shooter training program to domestic and international markets. The program received both internal and external praise for its overall success and execution. Additionally, he spearheaded the technical implementation and standardization for access control and IP camera surveillance systems for the company’s headquarters, data center, R&D facility and distribution centers across North America.
