John G. Connolly joined Guidepost Solutions in January 2015 having previously served as the Deputy Executive Associate Director for the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS-ICE). There he had a wide range of management responsibilities, including supervision of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) which included investigations involving money laundering, intellectual property rights and customs and immigration violations.

Since joining Guidepost, Mr. Connolly has been involved in several large scale engagements including being a member of the monitoring team of a global international financial institution as well as being part of a trade compliance review of a major international company. He has assisted individuals from around the world with issues involving customs, immigration and visas for admission to the United States. Mr. Connolly has provided subject matter expertise to several large international corporations regarding employer compliance with federal immigration laws, including visa compliance and reviews and remediations of I-9 forms and the E-Verify processes. He has also worked with firms in conducting due diligence investigations as well as providing subject matter expertise in support of litigation.

While at DHS-ICE, Mr. Connolly oversaw and was responsible for developing and instituting policy and procedures and provided strategic direction for more than 9,000 staff members in 185 domestic facilities and 67 international offices in 48 countries. Since 2002, he has served the DHS in several senior positions including Special Agent in Charge of the Washington, D.C. and Houston offices; Deputy Assistant Director for Domestic Operations; Senior Advisor to the Director; and Assistant Director for International Operations. Mr. Connolly is credited for promoting and reinforcing strong and transparent communications, both internally and externally with other law enforcement entities, other federal agencies and organizations, and senior government leaders. He has been in law enforcement since 1986.
