Courtney Klein is an experienced security consultant with over 10 years of expertise in developing, revising, and maintaining crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans for corporations and entities. Ms. Klein identifies, designs, and recommends security solutions across a diverse field of industries, including education, cultural properties, print and broadcast media, healthcare, research and technology.
Ms. Klein began her career in a specialized program for John Jay College of Criminal Justice graduate students that provided the foundations of physical security and counter-terrorism techniques. As a security specialist, research assistant she gained valuable experience and training by conducting vulnerability, dedicated adversary, threat, and emergency management assessments for non-profit, educational, and private institutions.
As a senior corporate security specialist at Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, Ms. Klein assessed existing security systems, designed, and developed remediation recommendations for enhanced protection of four major corporate offices. While working for a nonprofit healthcare organization, Ms. Klein applied domestic counterterrorism techniques to identify dedicated adversaries and extremist organization with motivation to harm the organization and collected intelligence on potential threats while designing and implementing threat interception programs.
Immediately prior to joining Guidepost, Ms. Klein was the security manager, programs and operations for the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, one of the largest and most influential museums in the world. While at the Museum she developed, revised, and maintained the organization’s crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery plans and modernized existing programs. She served as the administrator of crisis management and worked with expert vendors to support the team and the program. She managed a full proprietary guard force of 152 officers and supervisors, ensuring smooth gallery operations.
