Camila Gomez is an experienced Analyst with Guidepost’s team based in Bogota, Colombia. Ms. Gomez works on a wide range of matters, including financial crime and anti-money laundering investigations, litigation support, due diligence, background analysis, risk analysis and financial compliance, in Latin America. Before being promoted to Analyst, she began her career with Guidepost as a Researcher, supporting Analysts to produce reports and other deliverables to the firm’s clients concerning financial crime research, risk analysis and due diligence research.

Prior to joining Guidepost, Ms. Gomez was a Project Coordinator at Junior Achievement Colombia where she planned and implemented education programs in finance, entrepreneurship, and work readiness for more than 4,000 young Colombians. She also arranged for strategic partnerships with leading corporations to further implement the Junior Achievement programs.

She led the planning and aftercare programs and participated in an assessment of a National Plan for Hearing Care and Hearing Loss Prevention as Hearing Care Coordinator at Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides hearing aid for people with needs across Latin America.

Ms. Gomez began her career as an Analyst Intern at the Colombia Military Intelligence Support Command (Comando de Apoyo en Inteligencia Militar Ejercito Nacional de Colombia). She researched and identified external threats to National Security and reported to the Colombian Presidency. She conducted risk analyses and detections of civil connections between extremist groups in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Ms. Gomez is fluent in English, Spanish and German.
