Angela J. Osborne, CPP, PCI, PSP, serves as Vice President, Risk + Emergency Management Solutions within Guidepost’s Security and Technology Consulting division. Known for her expertise in emergency management, threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments (TVRAs), and physical security assessments, Ms. Osborne excels in guiding clients through high-risk threat environments. Her proficiency includes coordinating investigative support, physical security, law enforcement liaison, security technology application, forensic review, and emergency management. She has supported clients in healthcare, technology, education, manufacturing, non-profits, and legal sectors facing exceedingly complex, time-sensitive security challenges. 

Ms. Osborne has led numerous, complex TVRAs including the 10 Cook County Courthouses in the Chicago area for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) in compliance with federal transit requirements.  She has supported well-known clients including Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), Richard J. Daley Center, International Monetary Fund (IMF), M&T Bank Stadium (home of the Baltimore Ravens), Inter-American Development Bank, eBay, and Indeed.  During the pandemic, she served as an embedded Interim Senior Director of Global Security and Resiliency for an e-commerce firm. 

Prior to Guidepost, Ms. Osborne supported the U.S. Department of Commerce, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and General Services Administration. At the Department of Commerce, she helped establish the Supply Chain Risk Management Program in the Office of Cyber Security and evaluated information and communications technology products and software. She led a team of analysts and conducted over 100 risk assessments during her time with Interos.

Ms. Osborne’s experience extends to serving as the Security Intelligence Analyst for an international energy company and spent several years conducting risk assessments, preparing threat analyses, and developing security plans and on-site assessments for critical infrastructure project throughout Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, India, Ghana, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

Ms. Osborne is a six-year member of the ASIS Professional Standards Board Director, past Co-Chairman for ASIS Young Professionals, and ASIS International Instructor for the Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) Review Course.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millikin University.  She is an accomplished speaker and published writer and has presented at ASIS International’s Global Security Exchange (GSX), GSX Europe, GSX Middle East, ISC West, ISC East, Certified InfoSec Conference, International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), and ASIS Leadership Conferences. 

Ms. Osborne has also briefed U.S. House of Representatives’ staff on physical security in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and served as a guest lecturer for Georgetown University’s Security Studies Program and a consultant mentor for Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service Consulting Day.

Did You Know?

Angela met the CEO of an energy firm based in Abu Dhabi in a poker game. Soon after, she joined the company’s global security team in the UAE and eventually worked in Iraq, Turkey, India, Ghana, Egypt, Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands.
