Position: Consultant, Senior Consultant, Physical Security

The Consultant role requires candidates to have a strong understanding of physical security concepts they can appropriately apply across multiple business sectors, such as corporate, education, healthcare, commerical real estate, and industrial.  Pre-requisites include soft skills to effectively partner with clients, product manufacturers, contractors, and internal project team members.  Much time will be spent interacting with clients, writing comprehensive reports, conducting assessments, and managing team resources to ensure positive client outcomes.  Candidates should have a strong academic background, be capable of conducting comprehensive research, demonstrate problem solving skills, and clearly communicate both verbally and in written form.

Core Responsibility within this role will include:

  • Manage consulting assignments, which may include physical security assessments, written policy and procedure development, CPTED principles, program evaluation, risk analysis, solutions design, budgeting, and creating security content to support client engagements.
  • Familiarity with crisis management, business continuity, health & safety, intelligence research, security officer operations, situation awareness training, workplace violence prevention, travel safety, security systems infrastructure and technology design, crime prevention, counterterrorism, and other corporate security programs.
  • Develop security program roadmaps that transform recommendations into actionable solutions.
  • Partner with Technology Design practice and Engineering Services to articulate the security design into production drawings and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project deliverables and milestones.
  • Communication and record keeping of project decisions and directives in both written and verbal formats. Maintain project repository of documentation in a consistent and comprehensive project delivery method.
  • Support business growth through pursuit of new work and brand awareness via attending industry events.

Knowledge and Skills we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, or Business.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in corporate security or previous security consulting.
  • Ability to effectively understand client needs and develop appropriate solutions that meet operational intent and budget parameters.
  • Follow processes, continually seek to make processes more efficient, enforce processes, and conduct root cause analyses that lead to the update or creation of processes.
  • Experience using Bluebeam, Salesforce, Smartsheet and MS 365 as core software programs used in the role, knowledge preferable.


It is anticipated this position may require the consultant to spend 10% to 25% of their time traveling to participate in site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with design consultants.

Salary Range

$110K to $135K
