Guidepost Solutions Expands Privacy Practice with Strategic Leadership Appointments

Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in compliance, investigations, and security consulting, is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Privacy practice. Allison Spagnolo, currently serving as chief privacy officer and senior managing director, has assumed the additional title of deputy general counsel. In conjunction with this strategic change, Matthew A. Corwin will serve as the deputy chief privacy officer and a managing director and Dr. Bridget Bratt has joined the firm as a managing director.

Spagnolo, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), directs Guidepost Solutions’ global internal privacy compliance efforts, including those related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and leads the firm’s Privacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) practices. She advises clients on data protection and privacy risk matters, as well as AI governance and compliance initiatives. In her expanded role, Spagnolo will provide internal legal support, guidance, and oversight across the firm’s varied practice groups and international business. She joined Guidepost Solutions in 2014.

Corwin, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Corwin has more than 20 years of experience specializing in privacy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and IT risk management. His technical leadership and regulatory expertise have been pivotal in implementing privacy programs and security frameworks for global organizations. With his additional role, Corwin will support the firm’s internal privacy program. He joined Guidepost Solutions in 2023.

Bratt brings more than 25 years of experience in privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance across healthcare, financial services, supply chain, and consulting. Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, she was a director of data protection and privacy at a global consulting firm where she served as a subject matter expert on privacy and security regulations including GLBA, HIPAA, and Regulation S-P. Bratt’s previous experience includes leading the Data Protection Practice at Optiv, a cybersecurity consultancy; establishing global data quality and data governance programs at DHL Logistics; and developing and implementing enterprise strategies for Humana Inc’s data governance program and corporate data strategy. Earlier in her career, she spearheaded an inaugural data governance program and federated data model for a nationwide children’s hospital and was a senior compliance officer at JPMorgan Chase. Bratt received a Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science from Franklin University, where she is also an adjunct professor.

As Chief Privacy Officer, Deputy General Counsel, Senior Managing Director, Allison Spagnolo leads the Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice, ensuring governance and compliance for clients’ AI usage, and compliance engagements across sectors including financial institutions, healthcare, and government contractors. This includes reviewing anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions (OFAC) issues for global banks and multi-national companies, as well as advising on financial crime compliance issues specific to cryptocurrency exchanges and Fintech companies. She has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia for the purpose of leading and conducting on-site inspections and reviews related to NYDFS and Federal Reserve monitorships, BSA/AML audits and other compliance matters.

Matthew A. He has a successful track record of facilitating technology-business alignment while balancing risk exposure and corporate growth. Mr. Corwin also has extensive expertise in analyzing technical architecture to attain and demonstrate best-in-class industry and regulatory standards compliance in global environments.
