CrossFit engaged Guidepost Solutions to develop an emergency action plan (EAP) to support the 2025 CrossFit Games in Albany, New York. The CrossFit Games are an annual competition that crowns the “Fittest on Earth”. It’s a multi-day event testing athletes’ overall physical capacity through a variety of unknown and varying workouts. The organization was seeking an expedited approach in order to support this major athletic event. Our team conducted a documentation review, hazard and risk assessment, stakeholder interviews, and site visit to the venues to understand CrossFit’s operational needs, risk environment, and intent. To support usability, within 60 days, Guidepost delivered a full EAP document which contained detailed protocols and references for leadership and partners and a quick response guide, a compact, field-ready version that staff, contractors, and volunteers can carry on the event days.
