The Apache Corporation hired Guidepost Solutions to produce its entire security master plan and global security operations center program rollout. We were also selected to design the security system for their proposed headquarters, the Alpha Tower Project, which consists of a 24-story, 760,000-square-foot, high-rise office building with 10 levels of above grade and below-grade parking. The facility will house amenity spaces such as a cafeteria, conference center, data center, emergency operations center, and a global security operations center.
As part of the development process, the Guidepost Solutions team conducted a needs assessment and master plan, prepared concept designs, schematic designs, construction specifications and permit drawings. The corporation’s system design ultimately included hardened parking garage entrance barriers, as well as access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems. The two-level lobby area was designed to allow the entrance and exit via the garage and tower elevators controlled by optical turnstiles and elevator cab card readers. In addition, our team designed a building security operations center with system monitoring as well as intercom communications capabilities on the first-level lobby office space.
Throughout the project, the team coordinated efforts with multiple stakeholders to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to the security system.
