Lisa Gentilcore joins Guidepost Solutions as a senior managing director in San Francisco, California, with 25 years of experience in insider threat, security, intelligence, and compliance. Prior to joining Guidepost, she led investigations and compliance efforts with both the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and as a contractor with KBR (formerly Kellogg Brown and Root).

Throughout her FBI career, Ms. Gentilcore led investigations and collaborated with the US Intelligence Community, the Department of Justice, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Department of Defense, and many others on high profile cases.

Prior to retiring from the FBI in 2022, Ms. Gentilcore held several executive positions with the Bureau including as assistant special agent in charge in San Francisco; assistant inspector; deputy director of the FBI’s Presidential Transition Team during the 2020 Presidential election; and as the senior executive responsible for global espionage, insider threat, media leaks, and other sensitive national security investigations. She also served in the U.S. Embassy in Prague, Czechia, collaborating with European Union law enforcement; the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe; Europol; and Interpol on money laundering matters; violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; organized crime; and complex financial and cyber investigations.

In her most recent role with KBR as the lead inspector for the Department of Energy’s counterintelligence program, Ms. Gentilcore provided strategic reviews, program assessments, and policy guidance for offices located at the national laboratories and nuclear facilities across the country. She has worked tirelessly to ensure programs function at the highest levels and comply with applicable laws, policy and guidance.

Ms. Gentilcore was recognized during her FBI career with several awards from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and was the recipient of the 2010 FBI Director’s Award for her leadership in ethics and compliance.
