Summary/Objective

This full-time position requires an individual with strategic planning skills, time management skills and proven written and verbal communication skills.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and assist Consultants in meeting project and client deliverable milestones and deadlines including:
    • Spec formatting
    • Drawing take offs and budget creation
    • QC/QA of drawings
    • Submittal Reviews – review of shop drawings and data submittals against approved designs and written comments of deficiencies
    • Specification writing from a template
    • Commutation with clients regarding new backgrounds and deadline
    • File management and drawing distribution
    • Shipment of documents and letter of transmittal creation
    • Technical expertise to manage project deliverables with the assistance of a PM
  • Ability to create and help with complex designs under direction of subject matter experts.
  • Support subject matter experts with systems’ layout, coordination with draft team and client, and meet projects’ deadlines for a variety of projects and sizes.
  • Management of your time and PM’s allocation of time for specific tasks assigned, including prioritization of tasks and milestones that will enhance managing multiple deliverab
  • Learn company technical design standards, phases, and drawings expectations.
  • Continues education and seminars on technical, ethical, and professional topics.
  • Increase job contribution directly associated to company goals and initiatives, project support to Project Managers, your work as well as the team’s work efficiency and your job knowledge and sk

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in low voltage systems and construction required.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous systems installation experience preferred but not required in the following systems:
    • Access Control
    • CCTV
    • Intrusion Alarm
  • Design experience specific in the electronic security or low voltage systems areas a plus
  • Writing skills that can describe technical subjects in a clear and concise manner
  • Management of several concurrent projects, clients, and deadlines
  • Meeting and interfacing with the client or client representatives to review, discuss or problem solve issues related to system installations and design

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Travel

Travel out-of-area to clients and overnight travel is expected.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be done sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling phone calls, filing, and using office equipment such as like printers and copiers. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range

The base annual salary range offered for this position is based on numerous factors, including job-related skills and knowledge, experience, specific location, relevant education and/or training. In addition to the annual salary, we offer a full benefits package.
