Summary/Objective

The Associate Vice President (AVP) will report directly to the Vice President (VP) of the Data Center and Critical Infrastructure Practice of the Security, Technology and Consulting (STC) division. This role will assist the VP of Data Center & Critical Infrastructure practice and be responsible for growth across all service lines, the quality of our deliverables, management, training, and mentoring of practice members. 

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and support for global clients and projects while delivering a high level of customer service and client satisfaction. Improving efficiency of design, project execution processes, and technical specifications.
  • Proposal and fee estimation creation and review process for new and on-going engagements.
  • Principal-level project oversight and interaction with STC client base.
  • Able to provide and or support needs assessments, master planning, capital improvement budgeting, security systems design, technology designs, security department optimization, project management, and security improvement programs.
  • Leverage extensive experience in the development and implementation of standards for Data Center and Critical Infrastructure markets.
  • Support market sector growth and existing client growth and expansion of services.
  • Proactively keep practice lead and leadership fully informed of customer engagement, status, issues, and activities.
  • Proactively oversee changes in project scopes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency reaction plans.
  • Support Practice lead with training, supervising, and mentoring of employees so they may perform their duties at the highest level of excellence, professionalism, and quality.
  • Facilitate effective project team and cross-functional interactions (Technical, Operations, BD, Marketing, etc.) by working successfully as a part of a team and business functions to achieve positive results.
  • Develop and maintain connections with key industry personnel and manufacturers by attending events and keeping up on industry trends.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages employees as assigned and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of technology design and consulting experience
  • Ten (10) + years of experience working with the large-scale datacenter design and consulting projects
  • Ten (10) + years of experience working with critical infrastructure design and consulting projects
  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree or equal work history experience
  • Industry Certifications such as PSP, RCDD, CPP, CSC etc.
  • Software Application Requirements: MS 365, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam

Travel

Travel for business development, client growth, and interfacing with design consultants.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., but client expectations sometimes necessitate working outside of traditional business hours.
