Qatar Education City Convention Center
We were retained to provide security system design services for the new Qatar Education City Convention Center (QECCC) complex. When completed the QECCC became the largest venue of its type in the Gulf Region. It features 57 meeting rooms, 360,000 square feet of exhibit space, a 2,500 seat auditorium, a 500 seat theater and a 4,000 seat multi-purpose room. The main facility is flanked on the east and west sides by landscaped covered plazas with below grade VIP parking. Parking for attendees is located offsite in an adjacent multi-level parking structure which is connected to the Convention Center by an underground walkway. The security design for the project accommodates multiple levels of protection to accommodate events ranging from standard industry exhibits to high level government sponsored events.
