Tre Crumpton is an associate consultant with Guidepost Solutions, bringing more than a decade of hands-on experience in the design, installation, programming, and long-term maintenance of complex low-voltage and electronic security systems. His career foundation in field operations gives him a practical, systems-level understanding of how security technologies perform in real-world environments and how they must be designed to support reliability, scalability, and operational continuity.
Mr. Crumpton began his career working directly in the field, where he developed extensive expertise in access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and security system networking. Through this work, he gained in-depth experience with a wide range of industry-leading platforms, including Honeywell, Genetec, Lenel, Software House, Hirsch, and Bosch. This exposure has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end security infrastructure, from panel-level hardware and network architecture to software configuration, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
As his career progressed, Mr. Crumpton transitioned into the architectural and engineering (A&E) environment, expanding his technical skillset to include security system design, structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, and the preparation of detailed technical specifications and construction documentation. In this role, he has supported projects across government, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential sectors. His responsibilities have included developing system layouts, producing Revit-based design models, conducting site observations and field inspections, participating in acceptance testing, and coordinating closely with integrators, contractors, and design teams to ensure accurate installation and compliance with design intent.
Mr. Crumpton is an active member of ASIS International and holds a C•CURE 9000 certification, reflecting his commitment to professional development and industry best practices. His combined field and design experience allows him to serve as a critical bridge between conceptual design and practical implementation, ensuring security solutions are not only technically sound but also maintainable, resilient, and adaptable to evolving client needs.
