Julio Rodriguez

Senior Director

Julio Rodriguez is a trained professional in government affairs and international relations and senior director for Guidepost Solutions’ Bogotá office. In his professional experience, he focuses on leading complex investigations throughout Latin America related to multi-jurisdictional corruption cases for both the private and public sectors, internal fraud, and white collar and organized crime investigations.

Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience in reputational due diligence, crisis management, litigation support, evidence collection and analysis, leading multidisciplinary teams across the region.

As part of his career in the corporate investigations and business intelligence sector, he has led complex cases in Colombia and Mexico, as well as participated in multiple projects in various countries in Central America and the region.

He also has experience in auditing and consulting projects for entities in different sectors, evaluating and building compliance protocols in accordance with international best practices.

Mr. Rodríguez was previously a senior analyst at Custom Information Services, Inc., a specialized investigations firm focused on the Americas, with offices in Miami, Bogota, and Los Angeles. 

Before joining Custom Information Services, Mr. Rodríguez worked as an advisor at the Department of Asia, Africa, and Oceania at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia. He held the desks of sub-Saharan African countries managing different bilateral political affairs.

 

Did you know?

In 2011, Julio won a fellowship to participate in a program called Global Peace on the Move. He had the great and fun opportunity to meditate over a month with Buddhist monks and learn their skills in a retreat in a southern Thai island.
