Jordan Ferrantelli, CPP, PSP, a Senior Consultant with more than 14 years of experience in security consulting and design experience throughout several vertical markets, joins Guidepost Solutions in the Chicago office.
Mr. Ferrantelli has been involved in several high-profile risk assessments and prominent security system designs throughout the United States and abroad. He has worked on several prestigious projects in the healthcare, higher education, financial environments, and hospitality industries, among others, and also large multi-use/multi-faceted projects. Clients have benefited from his technical, operational, and physical security expertise. Mr. Ferrantelli has provided design and construction administration for public and private sectors that encompass TCP/IP camera systems, surveillance systems, intrusion systems, call for assistance (CFA), intercom systems, and electronic access control systems. Mr. Ferrantelli has also been involved in Loss Prevention assessments for Fortune 500 companies, helping mitigate large losses as a result of his involvement on such projects.
Prior to joining Guidepost, Mr. Ferrantelli was a senior consultant with Jensen Hughes in Chicago, where he designed security projects for mixed-use buildings, and corporate, educational, hotel, museum, high-rise, and condominium facilities. His expertise covered a variety of physical, technical, and operational security risk, including security system reviews, and assessments of security threats and vulnerability, workplace violence, and loss prevention. Mr. Ferrantelli developed and implemented strategies that leveraged technology to assist clients in complex technology issues and investigations. He was expert in security master planning project, with the development of security programs from the ground up. He rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming the company’s Midwest Security Manager.
Mr. Ferrantelli started his career with a Chicago engineering company that was acquired by Aon Global Risk Consulting in 2010. While at Aon, he won Secured City’s Grand Platinum Security Innovation Award for creating one of the most innovative corporate security projects: a built-up space of more than six-million-square-feet and comprising nine high-rise towers, a hotel, an energy plant, a prayer hall, and meeting space, all on a shared podium. The project required collaboration with the architect and client to build a security and access control strategy for the site.
In addition to creating complete security programs and systems, Mr. Ferrantelli is an author and sought-after speaker, writing and presenting on topics such as identity theft prevention, and check fraud. He has been a guest security expert for the ABC 7 Chicago I-Team for security-related matters, including storage facility security and home rental security.

Jordan enjoys woodworking and has built up his workshop to start doing more complex projects. He recently finished building an entertainment center from scratch out of oak and maple wood; his next project will be to build a lofted bed with a built-in desk underneath for his son.
