John G. Connolly has been with Guidepost Solutions since 2015 and serves as a senior managing director. Drawing on more than three decades of U.S. government experience, he advises clients worldwide on complex matters involving U.S. customs, immigration, visa processes, and workforce compliance.
Mr. Connolly’s project experience includes serving on the monitoring team for a leading health care provider and participating in a trade compliance audit for a prominent international corporation. He also advises multinational corporations on compliance with federal immigration laws, including Employment Eligibility Verification processes, and supports reviews and remediations involving identity fraud assessments and document fraud detection training. In addition, Mr. Connolly provides subject matter expertise for due diligence investigations and litigation support.
Before joining Guidepost Solutions, Mr. Connolly held several executive roles in the U.S. government, including deputy executive associate director for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) within the Department of Homeland Security. In that role, he directed a broad range of management operations and oversaw complex investigations involving money laundering, intellectual property rights violations, customs matters, and immigration-related offenses.
Mr. Connolly also led the development and implementation of policies and procedures that helped guide strategy for more than 9,000 personnel across 185 domestic facilities and 67 international offices in 48 countries. He is recognized for promoting clear, transparent communication across internal teams, law enforcement partners, federal agencies, external organizations, and senior government leaders.
