Edwin Rodriguez is a senior director within the Guidepost Solutions investigations and compliance practice. He advises corporate clients, law firms, financial institutions and multinational organizations on complex investigations, intelligence matters, compliance risks, and strategic threat assessments. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience leading complex investigative, analytical, and operational initiatives, Mr. Rodriguez helps his clients identify, assess and mitigate risks arising from financial crime, cyber-enabled threats, corporate misconduct and other matter impacting business operations and reputation. Throughout his career, he has integrated open source, classified, confidential human and technical intelligence to produce actionable insights, support decision-making and advance high-priority investigations involving criminal, cyber and national security threats.
Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Mr. Rodriguez served nearly 18 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Most recently, he served as an intelligence analyst in the FBI’s Cyber Division, where he led intelligence support for investigations involving business email compromises, account takeovers, SIM-swapping, romance scams, technology-support fraud, and dark web marketplaces. He also served the Bureau as a supervisory intelligence analyst, where he led high-performing analytical teams, and directed intelligence support for investigations involving human trafficking, organized crime, violent crime, public corruption and violent gangs. He also managed intelligence collection and analytical initiatives supporting threat-prioritization efforts across multiple investigative programs.
Throughout his FBI career, Mr. Rodriguez worked closely with federal, state, local and international partner law enforcement agencies, as well as private sector institutions, to identify emerging threats, disrupt criminal networks and support complex investigations.
Mr. Rodriguez served as the sole intelligence analyst supporting one of the largest commercial sex trafficking investigations in the FBI, an effort that contributed to the rescue of numerous victims and the dismantling of a major trafficking enterprise. For his contributions, he received the Attorney General’s Award for Superior Litigative Team. He also played a significant role in a major counterintelligence operation, for which he received a Law Enforcement Team Award.
Mr. Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fordham University, and participated in the highly competitive Summer Venture in Management Program at Harvard Business School. He holds a Top Secret security clearance and possesses a working proficiency in Spanish.
