Guidepost Solutions conducted a security assessment for the County Community Services facility in Stanislaus, California. Rather than simply focusing on isolated elements of risk mitigation, such as automated security systems, our efforts addressed all of the interrelated elements of a security program. The team examined electronic systems (i.e. card access control, video surveillance cameras, intrusion alarms, and intercom communications); operational matters such as guard services, and policies and procedures; and architectural issues including space planning and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) elements; and environmental and workplace concerns. The team delivered a comprehensive report outlining observations and recommendations with a 10-step program on how to secure the County’s facility through territorial reinforcement, customer service polices, guard services, employee training and technology.
