Oxford Community Schools Board of Education
Guidepost was selected by Oxford Community Schools Board of Education to conduct an independent investigation into the events leading up to, on the day of, and following a recent critical incident. Guidepost conducted interviews with staff, victims, and community members, conducted an extensive review and evaluation of school policies, procedures and practices, with specific focus on threat assessment protocols, in place at the time of the incident. Our review considered the perpetrator’s history, officials’ prior knowledge and interactions, staff training and actions, security measures and emergency management protocols, and post-incident protocols. At the conclusion of the investigation, the team provided the Board, district administration, and the public with a comprehensive report of its findings and its full set of recommendations.
