Guidepost was engaged by a law firm (the client) to conduct an independent investigation and forensic audit of allegations of financial and administrative impropriety by the CEO and Chairman of the Board of a major healthcare network. The allegations were initially filed by anonymous complainants to the state’s attorney general’s office. Guidepost’s investigation substantiated several of the more serious allegations against the CEO and the Chairman of the Board. As a result, the client provided a briefing to the Board which led to the resignation of the CEO and departure of other high-level executives.
