On February 6, 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the southern portion of Turkey near the Syrian Border. A corporate client contacted Guidepost with an urgent request to extract six employees from an area near the epicenter of the quake to an airport where flights had been coordinated for departure that day. The individuals were in a restricted area, had very little cell reception, and no access to power or shelter. Guidepost organized a local extraction team, gained entry to the restricted area, located the individuals, and
transported them to the airport.
