Mr. McArdle brings extensive expertise in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and counter-terrorist financing. With a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation, he has provided strategic advisory services to financial institutions, assisting in the design and implementation of remediation programs aligned with regulatory expectations.

Throughout his career, Mr. McArdle has led complex BSA/AML monitoring and compliance efforts, including serving as co-lead of monitor teams appointed by regulators and law enforcement agencies to oversee financial institutions under deferred prosecution and enforcement agreements. In this role, he managed teams responsible for validating regional and global transaction monitoring systems and sanctions compliance frameworks.

Mr. McArdle has also directed large-scale fraud investigations, including leading the review process for pandemic relief loans issued by a government agency. His efforts in integrating machine learning models into fraud evaluations significantly improved review efficiency for over 20 million loans. Additionally, he has developed policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs to support operational effectiveness across large-scale teams and organizations.

His previous experience includes performing risk assessments and developing compliance frameworks for financial institutions and money service businesses. Mr. McArdle has acted as a regulatory liaison, meeting with authorities to align compliance efforts with enforcement actions and regulatory expectations. He has further collaborated with internal teams to enhance digital asset transaction monitoring through machine learning tools and open-source data integration.

Earlier in his career, Mr. McArdle served as a Senior Special Investigator at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he reviewed BSA/AML programs, supported enforcement actions, and trained examiners on recognizing red flags in financial transactions. His expertise extends to designing transaction monitoring programs and conducting investigations into fraud, money laundering, and regulatory violations.

Mr. McArdle holds certifications as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). His well-rounded career, marked by leadership in financial crime investigations and compliance, makes him a valuable asset to Guidepost Solutions.
