Family Travel Assessment Galapagos Islands
A family office asked Guidepost to conduct a travel risk assessment for Ecuador, specific to an ethnic group, shortly after the October 7, 2023, attack by HAMAS. We spoke with American intelligence personnel and senior Ecuadorian government officials to learn that there was an active threat by terrorist groups
to target specific ethnic families on Galapagos. The family delayed their plans while we actively monitored the threat. Ultimately, the family was able to enjoy a visit to the islands after we determined their destination was safe for travel.
