Overview
The East Williston Union Free School District is a K-12 school system with over 1,800 students that provides an individualized and personalized approach to education. The District engaged Guidepost to conduct a physical security assessment of their three schools.
Guidepost Solutions
The East Williston Union Free School District Board of Education retained the Guidepost team to conduct a district-wide physical security assessment of their three schools and present our findings at a public Board meeting. The assessment focused on identifying existing physical security conditions and technology, reviewing existing emergency response plans, and analyzing operational security measures. We reviewed documentation provided by the District for the schools under our scope of work. Our findings were based on the content provided by the District, stakeholder interviews, and site observations as they relate, as well as online District faculty and staff survey results.
Benefit to the Client
The security assessment was an important milestone in the Board’s mission to identify an existing-conditions-baseline and update facility safety and security programs across each school campus.
