Nicole Longshore has over 20 years of experience working sensitive, complex, and urgent matters. She is currently an Associate Director in the Monitoring, Compliance, and Investigations practice where she conducts corporate internal investigations, civil and criminal litigation support, business intelligence, corporate due diligence and compliance, investigative research, and data analysis. Ms. Longshore is also a founding member and leader on the firm’s Diversity + Inclusion Committee.
She specializes in end-to-end internal investigations, compliance remediations, culture assessments as well as a wide range of litigation support and business intelligence, for global public, private, and non-profit clients. She investigates and assesses misconduct and compliance concerns such as race-based discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, conflict of interest, and wrongful termination.
She was a member of the team that assisted the University of Michigan with implementing recommended remediation efforts in the aftermath of sexual misconduct findings against a former Provost, working collaboratively with University stakeholders to create a more dynamic program promoting a culture of safety and inclusion.
Prior to joining Guidepost, Ms. Longshore spent over a decade as an intelligence analyst at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) working Transnational Organized Crime, International Kidnapping, Violent Crime, Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism.
Ms. Longshore was recruited by the FBI during her time as a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University where she spent many years conducting extensive research as well as comprehensive psychiatric interviews for the departments of Psychiatry and Medicine.
Ms. Longshore began her career in the field of clinical psychology first conducting psychiatric assessments to determine preliminary level of care for patients requiring treatment ranging from inpatient to outpatient; and later conducting psychiatric assessments to determine appropriateness for admission to juvenile residential and juvenile sex offender programs.
