Associate Technology Designer

Daniel Carrasco is a low voltage systems designer with broad experience in fire alarm design, security systems design. drafting, and cost estimation. He produces fire alarm specifications, issues bid drawings, and designs fire alarm systems based on NFPA, IBC, and local building codes. His experience also includes design of additional low voltage systems including video surveillance, access control, intercom, and areas of rescue.

In his previous role as a fire alarm designer, Mr. Carrasco worked with a team of technical staff to develop project deliverables ranging from design documents to technical reports. He applied design knowledge of commonly used concepts, codes (NFPA 72, IBC, FM Global), and procedures within the discipline and appropriate technology and software (i.e. CAD and Revit) to prepare project deliverables and production tasks. His experience includes reviewing fire alarm submittals, responding to requests for information, performing surveys of existing buildings, and attending punch walks during the construction phase to verify proper system installation and compliance with construction documents and applicable codes.

Mr. Carrasco is certified in drafting technology and also holds a CAD certification.
