Brian K. Whiddon has over 35 years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage integration, security and access control and data center infrastructure. Mr. Whiddon is a result driven strategic planner with excellent communication skills.
Immediately prior to joining Guidepost, Mr. Whiddon led a team of over 20 people in construction projects from inception to completion, managing schedules, estimating costs, budgetary oversight, subcontractors and service technicians. He prepared internal and external reports pertaining to job status and ensured quality standards. He recruited, trained, and supervised service technicians.
Mr. Whiddon began his career as a field technician and moved to the project management side of the low voltage industry in various key roles as operations manager, estimator and projects manager. He gained invaluable experience dealing with projects through completion, including resources oversight, budgets, and vendor oversight. Mr. Whiddon also developed policies and procedures for safety and training for network technicians and installers.
Among his wide expertise, Mr. Whiddon has significant experience in configuring networking equipment such as routers and switches, installing and moving equipment on a large-scale basis for data centers, extensive knowledge of Telco technologies and systems and Fluke testing equipment.
